We are delighted to announce that we were able to gather amazing organisations to join us in making a mark for the International Mental Health Day which is happening on the 10th of October 2022
Together with Children's Mental Wellbeing, Nicola Hayes, Combat Academy Portlaoise and Children's Books Ireland we created a broad range of activities which positively impact mental health.
It is vital to plant a seed of caring for mental health from an early age, that is why our project is designed for primary & secondary schools to reach children, and teens. To make sure that our goal is reached we are ready for parents and teachers too, as we believe if everyone is on the same page greater things can be achieved.
The project aims to promote simple ways which help in feeling good, give relief in difficult situations and support in calming down when feeling anxious.
The plan of the positive Mental Health Day includes School activities in the morning followed by a Teacher's talk, plus an evening segment for parents, grandparents, adults, and everyone over 18 years of age.
Children and young people can do a lot but if they have support from their parents and teachers positive ways to nourish mental health can be implemented regularly which will benefit their adulthood in being resilient, self-aware and having a healthy approach to life.
