What is the Coaching programme about

Module Topics

1.Anxiety

Students will talk about what iAnxiety is and discuss the positives and negatives of it. They will learn how to use it to their advantage,  be comfortable sitting with it and  prevent it from escalating through creating strategies to keep it at bay.

2. Emotional Regulation

Students will learn about the different types of emotions, how to name, recognise and express them effectively. They will develop a plan on how to manage and support themselves in times of overwhelm and understand the impact on others.

3.Executive functioning

Building awareness and understanding of their unique brain wiring, students will discuss their challenges and strengths. Students will learn how to make the best use of both, and put strategies in place to function effectively in the classroom.

4.Bullying

Discussion around understanding what bullying is and why it takes place. Students will learn how to change perspectives and be empowered in any negative situations and  how to talk about bullying to an adult and advocate for themselves.

5.Authenticity/Masking

Students will have increased confidence over who they are in the previous sessions, and here we will talk about the cost of masking the importance of being who they are,, find ways to reduce masking and feel empowered to be exactly who they are.

6. Social skills

Improving how students interact with others, so that they can have positive social experiences. We will also look at building confidence in avoiding and managing conflict. Throughout entire programme they will hear from and share with other neurodivergents, increasing the knowing that there are loads of others with brains just like theirs while practicing active listening and speaking in front of others.
