Evidence Based Programmes

What are evidence-based programmes?

Evidence-based programs have been carefully tested in controlled settings, proven effective,

and translated into practical models that are widely available to schools, organisations, businesses and

all community-based organizations.

The evidence has helped thousands of people around the World to grow and improve their resilience

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is world-renowned for providing evidence-based social skills treatment to preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional problems.

Unlike many other organisations, All Abilities Ireland has neurodivergent volunteers who will be facilitating and supporting this programme, understanding the needs and suppports required by those with ASD, ADHD, Dyspraxia and Dyslexia to ensure the programme is neuroaffirmative, inclusive and positive ensuring the best possible outcomes for participants.

First developed at UCLA by PEERS® Clinic director, Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson, the program has expanded to locations across the United States, has been translated into over a dozen languages, and is used in over 80 countries across the globe.

The .b program is a four/five-session course for young people that teach the skills of mindfulness and supports better mental health. It uses eye-catching visuals, video clips, and activities that bring mindfulness to life for young people.

Mindfulness is a powerful way to handle stress and live life more fully. Through mindfulness, a child can remember what is important to them and establish stronger boundaries. They can be less reactive and know their boundaries and what really deserves their energy and what does not.
